About Me
With over 20 years of experience teaching harp and piano, as well as performing with top orchestras and musicians across the world, I find this useful in tailor-making each individual lesson. I have been teaching piano to students age 5-70 in this time period and find that everyone has a different learning style and different goals. While maintaining a program based on technical development, theory, and overall music comprehension, I strive to find the best learning method for each individual. Whether their goals are to perform at the highest competitions or to add musical skills to their diverse profile, or to learn music purely for enjoyment, I work with them to achieve these goals.
I also perform as a free-lance harpist and have performed from Carnegie Hall, to the Houston Symphony, to the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, to teaching as a faculty member at the University of Nebraska and much more. The balance of performing with professional musicians regularly as well as teaching all levels seems to impart insight and enjoyment into both sets of skills for me.
