About Me

I have been playing piano, organ and Keybord for over 20 years. I love to teach others what I know. I am a teacher that teaches each student to learn how to play in all keys and I enjoy make sure the students ear is trained to hear music.

My Musical Education Background

I learned how to play piano in an old Baptist church in Victoria, VA. My teacher was the pastor and we worked daily to learn how to play. The teacher taught me how to learn to hear the music. She taught me how to position my hands and have posture when playing which lead to a comfortable way of playing. Piano playing came extremely naturally to me and is thought as a gift I have for playing. I learned the basic fundamentals in a week and over time I picked up my own style of playing. I can play anything that anyone sings to me or hear the music. I learned so well how to play by ear, I hear the music rather than read the music.

I have taught jazz, blues, classic reggae and gospel.
