About Me
I am vaccinated, I space my students 10 mins apart as so I can disinfect my studio. Here is why You should hire Me!! I have been teaching Guitar for over 20 yrs in East Haven, Ct and I wouldn't change a thing!! I absolutely positively LOVE it!! I teach 7 days a week...mornings and late afternoon til 10 pm!! Alot of music teachers don't teach you how to be creative...why a chord is a chord and how to add notes to it...why a scale is a scale and how does that pertain to songwriting...How to literally jam over any progression. When you literally understand the WHY of everything...music isn't a guessing game or a box of I'm supposed to play it this way...You become creative and can play any instrument!! I will explain all the many paths of learning how to play the guitar, and you will pick the path that is right for you!! Playing is so much fun and learning it should be to!!! So what are you waiting for... I haveThe best job in the world!! Wouldn't you agree!!
My Musical Education Background
I took lessons from 3 different teachers a week....one of my guitar teachers asked me to teach for him as soon as I graduated high school.... I have been doing it ever since and I would never imagine me doing anything else....I absolutely love teaching guitar!!!
Genres and Subjects Taught
You name it...I have taught it...lol From age 5 to age 70...from country to thrash metal and everything in between, I teach it. What individuals want to learn is just that...what they want to learn...I am here for them....not the other way around. Whatever they want out of the guitar, they WILL learn it. Some people just want to play as a hobby, some want to get in a band and some want to become music teachers....I have taught them all!!! lol Of course you will learn all the chords, scales, theory...But you will also learn Why a chord is a chord and why a scale is a scale and how does everything pertain to writing your own songs!!1 How to jam and improvise over any and all progressions!! God, it's so Fun to Play!!
Lesson Rates
not complicated....$25 for 1/2 hr and $40 for an hr...I do however require a FULL 24 hr notice for a cancellation and I require a security deposit of 1 lesson...which when you decide to quit lessons...that security deposit money you gave me goes towards your last lesson...some people when they stop taking lessons, they just stop coming...they don't tell me....so this way if that happens...I am paid for that lesson. I also require a Full 24 hr notice to cancel or to reschedule your lesson....if a 24 hr notice is given to cancel, you will not be charged for the lesson...if you want to reschedule...we will find another date and time for that 1 week.
Ages / Skill Levels Taught
Let's make this REALLY Easy.... I Teach ALL Ages from 7 to 80...I teach ALL Skill Levels from beginners to Teachers themselves....lol I have taught some guitar teachers...way fun!! You want to play...Here I am!! Been a Teacher for over 20 years!!
My Musical Influences
Well let me tell you who got me wanting to learn more...my whole family plays multiple instruments...BUT it was Eddie Van Halen and Randy Rhodes that got me hooked!!! And Today I Love Joe Satriani!! But I love ALL Music...my Playlist has every single genre on it...with the exception of Jazz and Classical...although I like to play it...I don't freely listen to it...just being honest here...Lol But from motown, to blues to country and every genre of Rock...LOVE!!
