About Me

I have a BA in Music and minor in psychology from Valdosta State University. I have 4 years of experience teaching kids ages 5+ and adults, from beginners to the intermediate level. I individualize lesson plans because every student is unique. For children I focus on making learning fun by using music theory games at the end of each lesson.

My Musical Education Background

I took piano lessons since I was 7 years old and I got a BA in Music from Valdosta State University in 2014. While there I took a piano pedagogy course and observed other piano teachers. I also have 4 years of experience teaching piano lessons.

Genres and Subjects Taught

I teach classical piano primarily, but I usually follow along with method books. As I mentioned, I individualize lessons for each student. This involves finding out what YOU want to play and making sure you achieve your goals. This may include pop songs or broadway, classical or rock, but it is up to you what you want to learn.

Lesson Rates

I charge $25 for a 30 minute lesson in my studio. If you have at least two children taking lessons from me I charge $22 for each 30 minute lesson in my studio.

Ages / Skill Levels Taught

I have taught as young as 4 years old up to someone in their 60's. I have taught beginners up to the intermediate level.

I have a BA in music from Valdosta State University.
