About Me
I was born and raised in France where I studied the piano at the Conservatoire National de Region de Nice for about 10 years. I was very involved in music ministry in my church playing for services and directing the choir. I also taught piano and music theory privately and in different music schools. I moved to Wichita,KS in 1992 where I married and started my family. I have been teaching piano at my home studio as well as at Bethel Life School until June 2011. My family and I relocated to Columbia,Mo in August 2011 due to my husband's new position. I am currently teaching private piano lessons at The Language Tree and at home.
My Musical Education Background
I was classically trained at the Music Conservatory of Nice, France. I also had some training in jazz and accompanied choirs and ensembles.
Genres and Subjects Taught
I teach classical piano with a very strong emphasis on technique and listening skills.
Lessons can be taught either in French or English.
Lesson Rates
Tuition is paid monthly and is determined by how many lessons will be available during the month. Tuition is due at the first lesson of the month. The rates are: $23/30 min. lesson, $34.50/45 min.lesson, $46/hour lesson.
Ages / Skill Levels Taught
I teach beginners to advanced students.
3 1/2 years old to young adults.
My Certifications and Awards
I received a Piano Performance Diploma from the National Music Conservatory of Nice, France and a First Prize of Piano Performance from the Regional Music Conservatory of Draguignan, France.
I'm a MTNA and Missouri Federation of Music Clubs member.
I've been teaching in France and in the USA for over 30 years.
