About Me
I taught piano for many years. I taught piano and played the organ at Mount Olive Lutheran school in Appleton, in the past. Students came down during the day to take lessons at school. I also taught an adult piano class at the Appleton Y.
I presently teach in my home on a limited basis. I retired from Mount Olive school and the Thompson center. I love working with all ages. Children, as well as adult learners; are welcome.
I now play organ at Peace Lutheran church in Neenah, Wisconsin and accompany the choir there. I have been a church organist for many years.
Until Covid arose I played keyboard with the Fox Cities Swing Band.
Until Covid hit, I played trombone with the Neenah community band.
I hope soon our groups will once again be able to meet. Covid has stopped most live performances of any kind. We miss it all!

My Musical Influences
I took lessons as an adult from Matt Turner. Matt Turner is a jazz professor at Lawrence University. I would not call myself a true jazz artist. Yet, lessons with Matt, helped me to understand my position in swing band much better. It also broadened my music education in a very positive manner. I had been classically trained, so this was a new venture for me.
