About Me
Welcome to Highland Park Voice and Piano Studio. My three teaching philosophy is sing healthy, sing with style, and sing your hearts out while having fun! I am fluent in English, Mandarin and Malay, and qualified to teach diction in sung English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Chinese and Malay. I have been teaching piano and voice for over eight years from age 4 to 65. I have taught voice and piano at Twintech International University College of Technology and several music academies in Malaysia; University Methodist Preschool of Exceleence and After School Music Program and LSU Performing Arts Academy in Louisiana. I have developed students' skills in vocal technique, music theory, sight-singing, sight-reading, ear training, diction, and audition technique. I strive to share the knowledge I have acquired over the years, through my study and performance experience, to everyone who is interested in the human voice. I am experienced in teaching various vocal styles, including classical, pop, folk, and musical theater. Every singer is different. I have different lesson plans for each student and I am flexible with students’ interests, strengths, and personal goals.
