About Me

Michelle Dokka has been teaching piano and early childhood music in Ellsworth, Bangor and Belfast since she relocated to Maine in 2000. She taught for several years before that in the Atlanta area. Michelle studied piano with Tommy Joe Anderson and Geoffrey Haydon. She holds a Bachelor of Music from Georgia State where she also studied piano pedagogy with Dr. Jame Lyke. Michelle is a licensed Musikgarten teacher and has received early childhood music training from Musikgarten. In addition to teaching piano and early childhood music, Michelle is the Music Director at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Bangor, directs the Handbell Choir at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Ellsworth. She has worked with cherub, youth and adult choirs in both sacred and secular settings.

Piano lessons for ages 4 to adult:
lessons include repertoire, technique and artistry, theory, ear training,
composition, and performance opportunities

Early Childhood music and movement classes for ages birth to 7 years

Lesson Rates

32 lessons in the piano year, fees are divided equally over 10 months September to June.  Contact instructor for more information
